3.04.21 CVS issues - 04-11-2006, 05:14 PM

I updated to 3.04.21 CVS (then regressed back to 3.04.10 CVS) and noticed the e-mails received from a staff reply were screwed up big time in Outlook 2003. Looks like it's related to the <br> issue. The line breaks were missing, jumbling up all the content of the staff reply.

I would have just switched to text e-mails and tried that first, but I noticed they appended some test such as --------------------------kayakotest which made this unusable for me. I reverted the templates, so it wasn't that!

As for the regress, I did a backup of my DB prior to the upgrade, and also a backup of the files (html, etc.). I copied the files back and restored the DB as I couldn't pair the old files with the new DB version. Hopefully you have the backups.

No, I don't have any immediate backup(know I know!!) This is the first time an upgrade caused issues.

Well, nothing much, I always backup the old files. Just reverted to the old files and ran the upgrade script again to update the DB. I wish it wasn't weekend, Kayako developers are N/A.

Is not something new, check:

html <br> in each line when the user send an email

EDIT: The bug still seems to exist. Let's wait for the next version when the fix the extra <br/> bug as well.
