3.1 stable release: Chat does not work with Mac - 01-03-2007, 01:48 PM

Hi;

I have reported this a million times and have not heard any response. Today I see the 3.1 stable released and Mac chat is still not working.

Should we assume that Kayako does not support Mac for Live Chat?

Please someone from Kayako let us know what we should expect? The installation is on Windows 2003 and the latest stable release as of today: March 1, 2007.

Regards,
- Kami

I have not tested the CVS version but I assume since they just released the 3.1 STABLE after almost one year of development they are not going to fix something so obvious the next day!?

I have reported this issue over and over and over again.. but it seems like Kayako developers do not monitor this forum and this is for the users to simply get a false sense of security with reporting issues.

I have not yet had time to submit a ticket for this.. but I have many reports of this on this forum.

- Kami

Posting your issues in here is not absolutely a lost cause. Although this is a non-support forum, Kayako techs do check it time and again

What are the details on the MAC bug?

Is it that an end-user can't use the chat on certain MAC browsers? If so, do you know which ones do and don't work?

Or is it that you can get the WinApp installaed on a MAC Parallel for Windows?

Also, does anyone know if IE 7 works for the end-user (for chat) on the new 3.10 Stable?

I can confirm there is not a bug . Everything appears to work and i have tested it with a mac. Varun also reported that its working fine.

Please make sure all your templates are updated and does not need reverting.

I have just tested with IE7 with no problems.
