I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to do either as the CVS server would just need to check which files have changed since the last stable build.

Did anyone from Kayako OR beta testers actually test 3.11 STABLE on WINDOWS? Did anyone test going from 3.10.02 STABLE to 3.11.00 STABLE?

It amazes me time after time the failures of Kayako - our help desk is dead once again from a simple upgrade from 3.10.02 to 3.11 - Q/A is non-existent!

The testers tested .11 a week or so ago without problems. I upgraded an install from .10.02 to .11 yesterday as well.

Craig,

So are you using Windows server then? Are you using POP3 for e-mail?

Clearing the cache didn't solve the problem, any other ideas?

Thanks.

Problem solved - 01-08-2007, 02:30 PM

Per Jamie's mention of "mbstring" I saw there was an extension in the PHP.INI that was commented out. So I uncommented extension=php_mbstring.dll then did an IISRESET and now it works again! Whew!

So from the list of extensions in the PHP.INI, what are required?

Was the php_mbstring.dll something new for 3.11.00? If so, why wasn't this documented in the release announcement so we didn't have to lose hours of our development time chasing this down?

Are there any new features in this build or is simply a bugfix?

Tried updating, apparently the new version requires a newer ioncube or something, I think the accidentally put the Zend version in the ioncube download, but what do I know. I gave up after 45 minutes of frustrating support, so I'm going back to the old version until they document what the problem is or if even a newer version of ioncube is needed.

Thanks. Just looked. It would appear that IonCube is installed at server level rather than dynamically included so you will need to upgrade it on the server. Details can be found at http://www.ioncube.com for doing this.

Would have been nice to note (here: New Build: 3.11.00 STABLE) that an update to ioncube is needed for the new version or I wouldn't have wasted a couple hours messing with it.

I'm staying on 3.10.2 for awhile, I'll have hundreds of angry people if I blow up apache and php in the middle of the day. Thanks for looking.
