Add Custom Field to Knowledgebase Article - 10-10-2008, 01:47 PM

I am wondering if it's possible to add a custom field to a knowledgebase article. Right now, when I create a new article in the Staff CP, any text in the "Comments" field appears in the "Solution" fieldset when the article is published. I was hoping to add a "Description" field to the insert article page in Staff CP that would coincide with a "Description" fieldset in the published article.

Is it possible to edit the insert article page in Staff CP so that I may insert custom fields? If so, what is the file name to edit?

I do not believe this is possible at the moment. You will have to edit the software source code to add such a feature. Currently custom fields feature is available only for the Tickets and Registration feature.

This is not possible now, but it is very easy to implement. If you are interested in doing this functionality please post a message on the forums wall.
