Exclamation Adding custom replyes in SLA - 04-12-2006, 07:56 PM

Is there some one that know how to add custom replays in SLA ???
for example:
if a customer leave a messages to support after SLA time, say SLA time is Monday to Friday 8:00am to 05:00pm, customer enter the messages at Friday 07:00pm. I want the customer to get replay that say:
------
Dear customer, our worktime is Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
your ticket will start next available workday.
Thanks, Support Team

This messages only replyes after SLA time

running some scripts on the mail server if its in linux can server - 05-12-2006, 06:41 PM

Only if its linux
Write a script at your mailserver which checks for the client mail id in FROM field and use shell script to reply back to the sender with necessary content you require.

Now in the cron tab execute this shell script every 5 or 10 mins from Friday to Sunday.

This is a temporary soln But may help you

Thanks Varun, I think it will be a useful for all support sites that have working SLA hour and for customer to know when to get support

Good ide.. but Im not that good to write scripts, and I use a Windows web server.
