Is adding Kayako to a site using iframes allowed? - 23-08-2008, 07:16 PM

I'm looking at adding Kayako to my website using iFrames. The only problem I can see from the license is that the Powered By must be in the title bar, is that correct?

Having it in the title bar is not something Kayako force. We outnumbered Kayako on this topic a while back and they reversed the decision. The only place it is required is at the bottom of the pages which would still show when using an iFrame.

If you wish to remove this too, copyright removal can be purchased for just under $200 via the members area.

Hi Jonathan; you are welcome to remove the page title branding with or without the branding free license. The only thing which has to stay (without one) is the Kayako link and text in the footer.

No one was out-numbered on anything . A couple of our customers presented some effective arguments as to how forcing our branding in their title bars could affect their SEO, we agreed, and changed the branding policy.

....which is the same as what I said. One person brought it up, several of us backed him up and Varun decided to go with us on it.

Mister Bloom: iframes cause serious problems for all applications with Javascript network components due to the widely differing nature of cross site scripting policies in different browsers. I recommend you use a different approach than iframes; they are not worth the pain in the long run.

Hmm, is there Drupal integration for the API? I don't know if I'm able to program well enough to do it.

I want it to at least be hosted on one domain helpdesk.domain.com and be able to access the helpdesk from my other site, but all of the stuff is located on helpdesk.domain.com.
