Advanced searching in v3

Is it just me, or is searching in v3 broken?
I need to find a ticket that has 2 things in it and used advanced searching with this: "+280 +dedicated" (no "quotes"). According to the instructions, this means it must find both in the ticket to return a result.

Not only did it not find the correct ticket, it returned 3 pages of tickets, all of which had completely wrong terms highlighted, like "mixed" and "email", and none that had either term in it. Am I just using this wrong, or is this really that broken?

I too have been seeing some strange behavior with the search, even the quick search seems to be a bit picky.

I'm going to do some more testing with this and speak to Varun later.

Thanks Neil, I appreciate it. For an example of how searching is done right, have him look at Eudora the email client. Has a set of form fields that can be expanded to refine the search, limit search to specific mailboxes, can use regex, and more. Very accurate. See the screenie...
