In our environment, only users registered by staff, are allowed to enter tickets into the system (ie Clients must login with an account we have prepared for them to enter a ticket) Is there any negative (or unforeseen) impact to removing the "Guest" account permanently? My sense of it is, there shouldn't be, and that I could simply add a new group called Guest or type Guest if we ever needed it again. Just not sure if the "Guest" account that is in the system by default has any "special" status within the application. Thanks, Rich Features I need asap: 1) Ticket search in the client portal! 2) Column display in client portal showing clients email address or name 3) Downloads by client (i.e. - each client has their own download area and can't see/touch downloads for any other client.) This would be on top of a "public" download area. 4) Integrated KB image uploads The ability for staff to upload images with a KB articles. Cheers! |

Hi rixm, I believe there will be a negative impact - but a developer will have to confirm this for you. Any user browsing your client support interface is a member of the Guest group - in effect. Therefore, one default Guest group is needed for each template group. -------------------------------------------------------------------
