Unhappy Anyone can't delete knowledgebase category? - 10-10-2007, 04:43 PM

Can't delete knowledgebase categories. Click on 'delete' and nothing happens.
The url over the delete link is:
https://mydomain.net/staff/index.php...agecategories#

Is that right?
Any ideas why it might not be deleting them. I can delete other items including knowledgebase articles, but not categories!

Are you sure your on 3.11.01? This was a bug in 3.11.00 and was fixed in 3.11.01.

If you are sure your on .01, did you run the upgrade tool after uploading the files (/setup/ dir -> click "Upgrade)?

If your sure of the above two, try holding down Control and pressing F5 to do a hard refresh of the page in the Staff CP then try deleting.

Thanks Craig but I am, indeed, on 3.11.01 and all my upgrade steps were followed to the letter. Does anyone have the code compare between the files that were changed for the fix?

Did you try the Control + F5 trick inside the Staff CP? Also clear your browser cache just to be sure.

Hi Craig. Thanks, I did clear my cache. And I tried ctrl F5 but, I should have said it earlier, I'm on Mac. Moral of the story, I'm going to try on a PC and see if I succeed.

Hi Giray,

Make sure you uploaded and overwrote all of the files inside of the locale folder, then please try again.

Worked! Thanks. Go figure. I was certain I had uploaded all files?? Bizarre. Anyway, again, thanks.

FTP connections are sometimes unreliable (usually the FTP server software at fault), and FTP clients aren't great at indicating a drag-and-drop upload didn't complete.

Thats why if you have SSH access and zip it up, upload and unzip at the other, it works better. It is quicker too.
