API Samples? - 29-08-2005, 10:34 PM

I realize there must be some kind of API implemented currently; what I would like to know is if I can get a basic sample of the XML elements I need in order to communicate with it. Could someone provide a sample call to the API via XML-RPC? I do not plan to fully implement it at this time, I do however want to test the functionality as it is a crucial need to our company.

Hi Josh,
The framework for API is in place and it does use XML-RPC. However, We havent implemented any functions as of yet.

If you can make a list of required functions then we will add them, We plan to expand the API based on requests by our users.

Regards,

Varun Shoor

Hi,
You can already use LoginShare to login your users. Search the forum for "LoginShare" for further information.

I have just submited this as a feature request as well.

The functionality I am looking for would be:

In order of importance.

-Create registered user
-Show [open|closed|on hold] tickets (status, requestor, and subject, time last updated)
-Create ticket
-Display ticket (original ticket and all responses)
-Ammend ticket
-Change ticket status

Hi Varun,

LoginShare lets me share usernames and passwords but I have not found anything that makes it so I can automatically login a user to eSupport when they login to my site.

It's just a shame that such a beautiful application doesn't have an API
