arabic subjects and from name - 25-03-2007, 11:48 AM

for some reason arabic subject and from name when sent to our ticket using email or via web interface gets inserted without spaces

for example instead of
From: John Doe Smith <user@example.com>
we get
From: JohnDoeSmith <user@example.com>

and for subject
Subject: this is a subject in arabic textfont
we get
Subject: thisisatestsubjectinarabictextfont

any one else using different language than english facing this issue?

Yes .. Unfortunately, thats right and I've submitted a ticket about this 2 days ago with no reply yet #UBJ-785850
I am also running the latest stable v3.10.02

I got a reply today "The developers are working on it and the fix will be provided shortly."
I hope so this can be solved asap.

i get the same reply for 18 month

Has your ticket still not been replied to? I believe the issue has been fixed in the latest CVS build.

As said at the ticket, it was solved at latest CVS build, but didn't respond to which files that should solve this so that I can overwrite it/them on my current stable release !

The file you need to replace is function_ticketmain.php. Please make sure you back up the original file before you replace it with the CVS one

Thank you supportskins, but if thats it then nothing is solved after trying now!
I submitted a bug request at the new bugs system in the 2nd day it was launched actually, and it was closed as being resolved, but till now I cannot see its solved.

List of modified files to fix the "Multilingual Subject and from name":

includes/Mail/htmlMimeMail.php
includes/functions_mail.php
includes/functions_mime.php
modules/tickets/functions_ticketmain.php

Please update these files form Latest CVS build. This will resolve your issues.

Tried that now, I recieved the ticket confirmation email from "unknown sender" with "unknown subject" so I've reverted back to original files!
