Exclamation Assign departments to Customers? - 03-11-2006, 01:08 PM

Hi,
Can anyone tell me how can we assign departments to a customer. I want to show some departments where a customer can submit ticket, so he/she can only his/her related department. This helps in not submitting tickets to the irrelevant departments.

For example
Customer 1 only should submit in Departments 'X' and 'Y'
Customer 2 can submit in all departments
Customer 3 can only submit in Department 'Z'

Hi,

You can not assign different departmets to different users (customers) but you can create User Groups to assigns different departments with the help of templates.
To do above follow steps below:
1. Insert User Group from Staff CP -> Users -> Insert Group.
2. Create Template group from Admin CP -> Templates -> Insert Group and insert "Default User Groups" settings as required.
3. Then go to Department that you want to allow access to that user group and assign Group from Admin CP -> Departments -> (click on department) -> (check) required "Template Groups".
