Attachement >4 Mb memory_limit - 05-02-2008, 06:41 PM

I get this error, when i sent an email with 3 attachements bigger then 4 mb at all to the ticket-system:

Quote:

<web1p9@mail.XXX.de>: Command died with status 1:
"/var/www/XXXX/kayako/cli/index.php". Command output: Fatal error:
Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 12134837
bytes) in /var/www/XXXX/kayako/modules/parser/functions_parsercore.php
on line 53 Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to
allocate 40 bytes)
I think, it is a problem of the memory_limit. now it is 32mb, but the error comes again. what can i do?

Did you restart Apache after making this change? If so, try hard stopping it and starting it back up.

we started the apache like your description. now we get another error:

Quote:

<web1p9@xxxx.de> (expanded from
<confixx-xxx@mail.xxxx.de>): Command died with status 255:
"/var/www/xxxx/kayako/cli/index.php". Command output: Fatal error:
Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1447971
bytes) in /var/www/xxxxx/kayako/includes/MIME/mimeDecode.php on line
382
attachements <1Mb are working. phpinfo() shows the right memory_limit.

Try increasing max_execution_time, post_max_size and upload_max_filesize.

And memory_limit as well, increase it to 100M although the software will never use 100M

Yes I noticed that, it says it currently stands at 32M while I am asking him to increase it to around 100M.

memory_limit is the total amount of memory taken at any time by all scripts running at the time, so that doesn't matter. Upping the limit to 100MB just to exclude it from the list of possible causes is a good idea.

Suppose so but I doubt 28MB will be used for the rest of the script.
