Attachment Cleanup (DB Storeage)

Hi,

Backups of my site twice a day is pushing 1.2GB in data transfer. I want to remove old attachments to help reduce the size.

Is there a way to do this or can I truncate the database tables? Last thing I want to do is corrupt the help desk with 30,000 tickets.

There is no automated way of doing it currently.

If you simply ran a database query to delete out the old attachments, it would error for attachments which isn't really ideal.

I suggest you post a feature request for this.

Looks like I have an ever bloating DB.

You could change to file storage...
