Attachment files - 24-01-2006, 05:03 PM

Hi all,
I've a little problem with my ticket attachement files.
I've checked the 'Restrict Incoming Attachments to Custom Attachment Types' under settings of ticket. I've put a rule to accept only jpg under 300KB under Attachment types but it does not work. When submitting a ticket, i can put any files i want to.
I am missing something ?

If its through your web interface just lower the php memory limit.

Hi,

This is a known and confirmed issue.

Also so you are aware (when it is working) the file restrictions only apply to web based tickets, they will not restrict incoming attachments on emails.

this should be able to be restricted on your mail server - 28-07-2006, 02:07 PM

This should be able to be restricted on your mail server. I run Exchange with a SMTP relay that blocks any messages over a certain size, and attachments of any type we decide to block. This way they will never make it through to the Kayako software. It is definately your mail servers responisibility to limit the attachments in my mind, Kayako in this sense is just a simple mail client....

Is this still considered a Bug with 3.00.90?

We have it setup accept only pdf, txt and images files.. yet I can login to the Support Center.. and still upload a 8 Meg EXE file

Anyone have this? *NOT* talking about email submissions, just via Web.. THANKS!
