Attachments: Failed to open stream - 15-06-2007, 10:23 AM

Hi everyone

This is my first post. I hope I'm doing right. I've a problem someone hopefully can help.

I upgraded to stable version 3.10.02 and since then attachments are no longer stored in ...\wwwroot\esupport\files
Attachments in email notification I receive from eSupport that a new ticket is been created works fine. But if I try to open that attachment when logged in as staff I receive following error message:

fopen(./files/attach_**********):
failed to open stream: No such file or directory in
c:\inetpub\wwwroot\esupport\modules\tickets\functi ons_att
achments.php on line 214

Obviously I did something I shouldn't have. I'd appreciate if someone could help.

Thanks in advance

switch to database storage
Admin > Settings > Tickets
go to : Attachment Settings
set Storage Type to database

The problem might be that you're still in file storage and that you're having a chmod writing permission deny (but if it's an update, that's strange).

Try to set the CHMOD of /files/ to 777, in both cases (database/file) a file is created here. I think that the problem is that the file can't be created (so when you're trying to read it it fails with "No such file").

You're right. That's the problem. No permission was given to write in this folder.
Thanks a lot for your support. I would have searched for a couple of hours longer.
Bonne journée
