Billing Entries and Time zones - 31-05-2007, 12:14 AM

In Ticket View -> Billing Tab, the billing date field seems to be working off GMT, despite the fact that my site is GMT +10. For instance, right now, the time here is 10:10 am on the 31st of May. If I go to enter billing, the billing date shows 12:10am on the 31st of May. When I view that billing entry on the "General" page, it will show correctly again as 10:10am.

As long as you are not planning on altering the billing date, thats fine, as the underlying database is understandably running off the GMT time anyway. The problem is that changing the billing date gets a bit confusing.

Billing entries listed under the "General" tab are displayed with the GMT +10 time correctly.

Is there a way to make the Billing tab/Date selection operate on the same timezone as the rest of the site?

Is there a fix for this issue? Works the same way for the latest stable build as well.

Yes, its a known issue in the present build and its fixed in the latest CVS build. The details are available at: Kayako Bug Tracker - Viewing Issue #531 - Billing entry display doesn't use date/time display setting

Please wait for the next stable build and upgrade the helpdesk as soon as its available.
