I make a staff group, I do not allow the group to make pulic alert

the staff logs into his control panel and indeed when he tries to create
a rule there is only one option to choose and that is PRIVATE

OK fine butttttttttttt

after he creates his private alert rule all he needs is to go back and click EDIT

the both PUBLIC and PRIVATE options are sitting beautifully there ..
he can choose public and make a mess...

am I wrong?

what should I do now?????

Yes I can confirm this. It indeed is a bug.

ok in this situation what do you recommend?

Can I make an alert for my staff a private one and then go back to setting and take away the permission for him to edit or add alerts all together?

will then the setting I made for him remain?

I think I need to test that.

OK I did all I could I just give up. this feature does not work at all, alert permission has bugs

but one solution is to hide the menue "alert" by useing <-- -->

can any body tell me where to find that menue?
