Cannot get live reponse to work - 26-08-2008, 07:17 PM

I now have 2 questions please.... I cannot get the live response to work... It shows us as Offline even when we are online....

The second thing is how can we generate a code to put the liveresponse Icon on diferent pages...

Hi ptityop,

1) Did you assign yourself (and staff) to the appropriate live support departments?
2) You need to use the 'Tag' Generator in the staff control panel (under Live Support) to generate the code to put on your pages

1. Go into Admin CP -> Staff -> Manage Staff and if group permissions is set to no, check to see if the user you are logging in with is assigned to one or more live support groups. If it is set to yes, go into Manage Groups and check the assignments there for the group the user is in.

Also, try holding down Control and pressing F5 on the page showing the Online / Offline image as it may be a cache issue.

2. Use Staff CP -> Live Support -> Tag Generator.

Thanks a lot for your reply .... I am not sure what I need to do.... Here is how it is configured :

Under Staff I have :

Full names : Customer support and Support, Both of them are under "Administrator" Staff group, Both of them have "Use group depts" Ticked and all groups are assigned.

Under Groups:

There are 2 groups : Administrator and staff, Both of them have all boxes and depts ticked, and they are all admin....

If this can help ?

Very weird then. I suggest you submit a ticket (http://members.kayako.net -> "Get Support") as there is little more that can be done here without looking at your other settings.
