Captcha is not working - Kayako

Hi All,

I'm hopping somebody can point me a right direction. I've enabled the captcha in "User registration" and "Submit Ticket" section, however it does not shows up. I cannot see any field related to it.

I'm running:
- eSupport: 3.10.00 CVS from 17. January 2007
- PHP 5.1.2
- MySQL 5.0.41-community

Do you have it set such that you have to be registered in order to submit a ticket?

This happens to me. Before when I had the "submit ticket" widget enabled under the guest account the captcha worked however since I only have it enabled for registered users the captcha does not show up. I was told that this is normal functionality.

Check if your PHP is correctly compiled with GD support. Your phpinfo should show something like the attached image.

Hmm ...

Seems like I do not have the GD extension installed. I do not have a section related to GD in my phpini.php.

Here's a dumb question. After making these changes did you clear your browser cache as well as the kayako cache?

Well ... I did not. But after clearing all cache, it's still not working.

He has already said he does not have GD installed, this will be the problem. He needs to recompile to install it.

Yeah I have no idea what GD was and what it does so I thought I would throw in another possible scenario.

Done. The PHP GD extension installed and now it's working.
