cc email option doesn't work? - 16-08-2005, 12:44 AM

As a staff member, when we add an email address in the cc email options of the open ticket, the email adress c'd does npt receive any emails. Is this another known bug or I am missing something here ?

I have the same here, I looked at the actual email server and it looks
like instead of the CC email address being entered, it enters the email
server name in the address !! Here is the server log:

Tue 2005-08-30 17:32:05: <-- MAIL FROM:<support@networkfrontier.com>

Tue 2005-08-30 17:32:05: <-- DATA

In the ticket, the CC address was 'marka@networkfrontier.com' but when
it reached the server, the CC address was 'mail1.on-digital.com'

This is using the SMTP option, not PHP mail.

Same happens here. Using SMTP.

This also happens when I have an Alert set up to notify me of replies to tickets. Then I post a reply to a ticket via the web interface to the staff area. SupportSuite tries to send the email alert to "@mailservername.mydomain.com" instead of "mystaffemail@myexternalemaildomain.com".

Methinks they probably use the same block of code.

Varun, will We have an option to CC and BCC when creating a brand new ticket on the Staff CP?

So is this fixed in 3.0.12 ? If so should the reply email details list both the original sender and the new cc'd address ? If so mine is still not working, have just tested it.

I have just created a ticket from a user. I then did a reply and cc'd a different email address. The reply only went to the original user and the Ticket showed the reply only going to one recipient ( the original ).
I then tried forwarding same message to second email address ( and ticked to Add to recipients ) and this time it went and the ticket showed 2 email addresses.
I then tried replying again without a CC, and only the original sender received a copy ( not the second user who I thought I had added to recipients ).

What am I doing wrong ? Is there an option(s) I need to check somewhere ?

Cheers Neil. The previous poster ( who said it had been fixed ) threw me a bit. I was worried it might be a fault in my setup.

Your not doing anything wrong, ths is a bug and will hopefully be fixed in the next build Varun is looking at it.

Is this fixed in 3.0.12 the "STABLE" version of the product. It doesn't seem to be and could be part of the problem why some of my customers don't get there emails.
