Unhappy Chat feature Forbidden errors.. HELP! - 11-12-2006, 12:02 AM

Hello,

I got Kaykao Supportsuite about a few weeks ago and i'm now starting to get it going live. I have found one major problem with our chat feature. But first, let me explain what we have going: Redhat Linux, Cpanel, Kayko Supportsutie 3.04.10 STABLE, running Ioncube.

I've added the chat link to our homepage. When people click the link, it will popup the new chatbox but most of the time it gives a forbidden message in some of the frame areas. If you refresh the page, it will just get wrose until it just says the whole page is forbidden. Than, if you hit back onto our website and click any of the pages or refresh my webpage, it will do it to our website.

This is quite odd. I've seen some posts regarding this but without any solution. Until than I have to take down the live chat link. Can someone please guide me on how to fix this or if this is a bug of some sort.

Hello,

First place to check is your servers error log see what extended error you get there, it sounds like a permissions problem so doubcheck the file permissions and if you have mod_security enabled make sire that its not causing the problem either.

Hello, Just to let you know the problem happens NOT all the time. Actually it works some times and it gives errors MOST of the time.

I do have mod_security enabled. Is this the issue?

It's something to do with mod_security but I am not sure what's the exact workaround. Disabling it should work temporarily.

Yes, but Cpanel enables Mod_security by default. I'm sure there is a way to fix this . Can someone please help?

I've had a ticket open with Kayako for sometime now and still the issue hasn't really been addressed expect "UPGRADE YOUR WINAPP CLIENT"... At this point, I'm getting fustrated with Kayako. So far I haven't had any reply from my last response from Kayako. Why is it so hard to try to help fix a client's issue. I've been very patient, almost 4 weeks actually.

Ok, I had mod_security disabled and I still have the same issue. What else could this be?
