Chat Window is blank - 10-08-2007, 03:00 PM

I've got another weird issue. When I log into SC and request chat on one PC, I get a blank white page except for my logo and the powered by text at the bottom. However if I log into SC from another PC and do the same, the proper text and drop down is displayed. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Both PC's run IE6. I have modified the chatcontentframe template to display our hours of operation but thats it.

Try backing it up, restoring to default and testing that. You can always put back what you restored.

Yeah but it works on one computer and not on the other...doesn't make sense to have to do that.

They may have slightly different browser versions so I would like to rule out it being a template issue.

Actually now that I remember, when I restored the templates it worked like it should have. Its just when I mod teh template that this happens.

But even after the mod it works perfectly on one computer and but doesn't on another...something a bit weird. The PC that it does not work on is a laptop and the one that it does work on is a desktop and both are using the same version of IE6.

Maybe you are viewing a cached version of the page. Try CTRL+F5

Okay I did that and it worked...but even after a while the blank page shows up. Why would that happen? It only happens on one PC and once you hit CTRL+F5 it should rebuild the cache and the issue should disappear.

Go Tools -> Internet Options and clear cache, history, cookies, etc and try again. IE can be weird like this at times. FireFox for president!
