Hi Neal,

What version are you running? Have you upgraded to a CVS build?

I recommend clearing out your cache folder within your installation directory and trying again (simply be revisiting the page which will cause a cache rebuild).

I'm running the 3.10.02 RELEASE/STABLE. Never touched a CVS after the 3.10.02 stable/release.

Strange - can you try the cache rebuild and let me know what result this has?

I've had this happen to me before after changing permissions for the different teams we have. Removing staffcpmenuclick.js from the cache directory should do the trick.

Looks like this issue is a quite common BUG when searching the forums for "undefined". Mine started being just the News area, then propagated to other menus. I resolved it by turning off GZip compression in the Settings...CPU and Server Optimization area

Hmm, that narrows it down. Hopefully Jamie can get it fixed for .11.

I think this is coincidence, and changing the output setting simply caused a menu cache rebuild (but I am unsure) - GZIP compression for page output isn't going to change a set of menu items in the way as reported.

We have the exact same issue, just started recently.

Turning gzip to off fixed it.

Have you upgraded to .11 released today to see if it still does it in this release?

Maybe gzip is corrupting the cache? I updated to 3.11 and tried turning gzip compression back on today, instantly my NEWS sub-menu went to "undefined" again, so I turned off gzip compression and it's fine again.

Have you submitted a bug report about this? If not -> http://bugs.kayako.net
