Comments after less than sign

When a client inserts a < sign into a reply (e-mail or helpdesk), everything after that sign is ignored, including the sign.

What's up with that?

make sure that e-mail stripping of tags or processing of the e-mail is happening. theres an option in the admin console to do "No processing". It's thinking that the < is the start of a tag.
