Contact -> User / User password? - 27-04-2008, 11:46 AM

Hey there,

if I create a new contact, is there the option to have a user set up automatically?

Second thing: A new user was created by sending a ticket (I sent the ticket to the users email adress) - how could the user know his password? Nothing was sent to him?

Hi simside,

1) There is no way to do this automatically

2) If you enable the sending of an autoresponder (ticket receipt) for ticket submission, the user will receive a copy of his password

I think storing the password as plain text in the database is a huge security risk (my opinion) - hope you will change that in v4

Also it would be very cool if the system would create a user for every contact - and send him a standard mail (to be set up by the admin) with his ONE TIME password (for the first login).
