Corrupted Attachments - 23-07-2005, 06:51 PM

When a ticket has an attachment (binary) like PDF, it gets corrupted as the downloaded file attachment has been truncated, I tried the "files" option. I can
see the attachment file is correct size in files folder but on download it gets
truncated.

Is this bug being looked at ?

I am having several problems with .wav files that are sent as attachments from my after hourse answering service. The fill attaches itself but once in the system I try to downlaod and open it and it is corrupted.

I am using the web based version so I am assuming that bug is not fixed yet.

Corrupted Attachments too - 22-11-2005, 03:57 PM

I just found out I'm having the same problem. I also have an answering service that forwards voicemails to the help desk in wav format and I can't open them at all. I'm using the 3.00.26 build from Nov. 8th.

Problem fixed - 23-11-2005, 03:50 PM

It seems this is a permissions problem. I opened up the directory security and my attachments are coming through just fine. I'm not sure what permissions are necessary for attachments to process successfully, but that seems to be the root of the problem.

voicemail - 18-01-2007, 12:40 PM

wonder if anyone can help.

we have a answer service that has a pop3 access i have setup kayako to collect the messages via the pop3 which contain the wav file.

the problem is when kayako downloads the direct from the server the attachment is converted to a index file, the wav file has gone.

i tested by sending the same wav file from my server to my personal email and then forwarded it into the kayako support address, which works fine and the wave file can be opened and heard by our support team.

Does anyone know why kayako doesnt seem to like it when it downloads the file direct. aslo in the mail parser log i get the error

-- Mime Data Cleared due to Size Limit under Settings > Parser --

I have checked the size limit which is 5mb and the wav file is 54kb

If you do a right click and 'Save Target As' (Mozilla) or 'Save File As' it works fine?

This is odd, Does this happen on certain file types or every attachment?
