Custom Field - Drop Down/Radial - 23-04-2008, 01:00 PM

Has anyone else noticed that if you create a drop-down or radial custom field that the "is selected" is automatically selected and there is no way to deselect it? What if you don't want any to be selected?

I'm assuming this is a bug but I want to make sure that other people notice this as well.

This might not be a bug, you must have a default value selected, this is how html works.

If you want default to have none/no value then you might just leave 1st option blank and select it.

Is that how its intended to work? Leave the first option blank? If that is the case then that should be noted somewhere within the custom field option so people know.

I'll give that a shot. Thanks.

No, it may be not intended to work like that, this was just a kind of hack.

So then it is a bug because you should be able to select and deselect the "is selected" column values.

Just tried this and it didn't work. It actually takes all the entries in the list and moves them up, apparently you can't leave the first line blank. I had to enter "choose one..." in the first spot.

Yes it moves them up but have you noticed that display order 1 is removed and "is selected" field is actually not selected at all.

Yes I do see this however when you load support centre the first item in the list is still automatically selected.
