Custom Field Selection in Autoresponder - 20-08-2006, 10:08 PM

Hi All,

I'm trying to add a reference to a custom field selection in the new client ticket email autoresponder. I'm struggling to find a field/variable that corresponds to a selected index of the custom field created by the client.

I have tried to do a select against the new ticket created and pass this to the email autoresponder, however, the custom field entry appears to get created after the email gets sent.

Can anyone help and advise a way this could be possible?

Many thanks,

Mark

Hi Varun,

Yeah.....we use CF's heavily to populate project names rather than setup hundreds of departments. We add CC recipients (added it to the autoresponder function) so the whole IT development team get copied in when a high severity bug gets logged, however, as we log hundreds of tickets, the clients get annoyed as the email autoresponder doesn't reference the CF project name, and they need to login and check if the bug relates to their area. They have to look hundreds of times a day, and only a few relate to their own area.

For the ticket to be logged, the CF selected must be stored....I had assumed we could grab it from there. Any other ideas?

Mark

I believe this is a feature request in v4.
