Customer reply being cut off - 29-08-2008, 07:12 PM

Hi All,

A customer replied to a ticket and his reply was cut off in the ticket view.
If you click to edit that reply it shows all data.
You click update, but it shows only partial data.

We are running version 3.20.02

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Is there any chance he was using HTML code in his reply?

It could be one of your break-lines is causing the problem, or your HTML handling settings (Administrator control panel -> Settings -> Tickets).

I don't know if this is your problem and I'm not sure if it's just my settings but I'm seeing rogue/unclosed td and tr tags.

How to replicate:

Submit a ticket with only one line of text.
Login and view the ticket as a client. In Firefox right click view source. If your editor uses syntax highlighting you can easily see the rogue/unclosed tags. I use Dreamweaver as my source viewer.

Around lines 50 - 60 there's some rogue / unclosed td and tr's.
And this one is line 60. <td width="100%" align="left" valign="top">

In Dreamweaver design view, it should look exactly like the page you are viewing but you can clearly see mistakes.

This is v3.30.02 with all templates restored after update from v3.30.01.

Does anybody else see this?

James
