CVS 3.00.45 menus in staff cp - 09-03-2006, 11:44 PM

I am having problems with the CVS v45, the javascript drop down menu's and navigation options in the staff cp do not work at all which results in an "Error on Page" icon in the IE status bar.

I have no problems with CVS v33 build though? I have been through ensuring permissions are correct and performing fresh installs of CVS v45 exactly as I install v33 - but it's just not having any of it.

I'm running XP, IIS5, PHP 4.3.6 and MYSQL4 - as said, this setup has been working fine on all the builds up to 33. No changes made.

Any Ideas? Looks like I'm stuck with CVS v33 at the moment.

I did notice the js errors, and slow rendering of the page myself while Iwas running 45 for a few minutes.

Hi,

The errors have been introduced by the IE7 compatability that was added, this has been fixed but an updated build has not yet been pushed out.

Phew, thought it was me for a minute. IE7 - Bah! Don't build in any additional support for it until it's matured I'd say - sticking to fixing and improving upon the standard features first would be better - like improving the client ticket view screen so they can search/sort etc, oh and most importantly CLOSE their own tickets.

What about people complaining about IE7 support? We cannot please anyone and remember CVS builds are BOUND to have bugs and issues, They are developers work in progress and you should not use them unless you are aware of these issues.

I haven't test driven IE7 yet, but are you building in features to support NEW features in IE7 or simply making existing features IE7 compatible?
I'm well aware the CVS builds are test beds, which is what I use them for but at the moment the best build to use, for me, seems to be v3.00.33 CVS - I have no issues with it whatsoever, everything seems to work in it what I need, unlike the CVS or Stable builds before and after it.
