dd/mm/yy format

I've lived in the US for 36 years and I've grown quite accustomed to seeing dates in the mm/dd/yy (12/25/06) format... however, every date picker uses the reverse dd/mm/yy (25/12/06) format. I've changed the date format preferences elsewhere in the system but the date pickers still don't work "right"... any idea how/where to fix this?

This is one of the feature request. This is being worked on and is expected to be added in the upcoming build (i think)
