Default Browser Firefox

Hello All,

Is it possible to have the links from WinApp open up a FireFox window? Firefox is presently my default browser but links available in Tickets always open up in IE.

Sounds more like a Firefox browser issue (again).

If you have it set as your default browser, it should open up in FF for you.

I must say I second the vote on Avant browser...I use it daily.

Avant is based on IE though. I believe it to be more secure than IE alone with all the features. But not sure.

While Avant is good, it's nothing like Firefox.

All browsers have issues. I work for a company that is in the anti-virus/anti-spyware industry. The key that makes FF more secure then IE is the lack of Active X controls that allow things to install whithout the operators knowledge.

Avant IS Internet Explorer with a skin and some extra plugins. They did not re-write the security settings or the web rendering engine for it. They're just using IE's core, just like AOL did with their browser.

The actual best browser out there for security has issues rendering some content out there on the web. That's becuase it doens't suppor things like Active X and some other scripting at all.

However, every browser has it's shortcomings. IE's big nock over Firefox is the ability to download and run scripts as a root user without informing you.

That's something that puts Firefox head and shoulders over IE.

Additional Note: We just finished out test of Kayako, and it opened all links in IE on our operators computers also. It appears to be hard coded in the link itself, not using the default browser option.
