Default Template Bug in latest Support Suite ? - 14-01-2007, 07:30 PM

Hi All,

I'm having an issue with setting up Kayako Support Suite.

When I add a new template group and set this one as default, and the real default becomes a "No" for this, I'm still not able to see my modified Template.

I have double checked everything about this and it seems to be a bug. I'm on the latest version where the default Language is no problem.

Modifications on the default are working very well btw.

Has someone seen the same problem ?

Cheers,

Thijs

OK I have found out that the whole template stuff is messed up.

When you do a default install and copy the default template to a new one and restore the new one from a backup, both are rewritten.

I hope this will be fixed as soon as possible.

Hello,

Yes I can ofcourse.

When you have a new setup, only default is there.

Make a new Group and copy the templates from default when you create it.

Both groups are untouched so all grey.

When you have a template backup and you restore it in the new Group you have created it's located there and you will see green balls because you edited them.

When you go to default (what you left untouched) and you check the templates, it also has green balls like the second group where you imported the backup to.

So it seems that when you restore a second group, default is also resotred with the same xml-file.

I hope this makes it clear.

Cheers,

Thijs

Hi,

I have created a ticket about it, and support says that I only have to empty the cache, what doesn't work at the moment as a solution.

Does someone has the same experience ?

Cheers,

Thijs

Hi Thijs,
We are unable to replicate this behaviour on our development boxes and we were able to correct it by clearing your cache directory.

Hi Varun,

It's strange indeed.

At this moment I use the solution to modify the "default", because an extra group set as default is not working, no matter what I do or remove or clear.

I hope someone else can give a confirmation about this.

Cheers,

Thijs
