Deleting a ticket - 05-09-2006, 01:15 PM

Hi all,

We had a problem with our helpdesk which made it panic and start looping tickets. The result, we have a 92 page, 462 reply ticket which fails to delete in the normal manor.

Can anyone think of a way to delete this ticket as our database is now massive.

Many thanks.

These 2 queries should delete the ticket and ticket post:

DELETE from swtickets where ticketid = TICKETNUMBER;
DELETE from swticketposts where ticketid = TICKETNUMBER;

Here TICKETNUMBER is the precise number -- example 1,2,330, etc. Hope this helps.

Note: This ticketid is different from what you receive in the emails (XYZ-12345).

Sorry to be a bit stupid this morning but where you mention ticketnumber. Where do i find that out?

Is it the e-mailed number? BKN-273216

Or is it just simply 273216?

Many thanks.

The ticketnumber is the Id of the ticket. You can find it by viewing the ticket and read the ticketid= parameter in the URL.
