Deleting Users - Impact on tickets - 10-04-2006, 08:13 AM

We have recently had someone leave our company and I want to remove her User, so she no longer has access to the system.

However, she has been involved in the work on several tickets. If I delete this User, will there be any impact on my tickets?

There used to be a bug (don't know if it's been fixed) that removed tickets when you deleted a department involved in that ticket - I trust this is not the case with Users, but I need to be sure before I delete this user.

Can anyone help?

Hmm... - 10-04-2006, 08:22 AM

I'd like to do things properly, rather than have all of our ex staff sat in an "ex staff department"...

Can anyone else help?

If you need a quick fix - just create a group which doesn't have access to anything and then move her to it.

Im interested in the results of this. Does it do the same if you delete a user from your support center? (not staff, but user). We need to make sure these tickets stay no matter what for reporting purposes.
