Disconnected 3 times in middle of important chat.$#$#@ - 08-04-2008, 03:37 PM

Today
an important client logs into my chat

I am satisfied with the chat but was disconnected 3 times and had to say sorry again and again.

any body can explain ?

what can I do if clients misunderstand because the chat just goes dead
no message for client to know that there were disconnection so they just wait and wait ....;

SupportSuite 3.1.1.61 STABLE

why it is not uptodate?

That is the windows application version. What version of the core are you running? This is shown when you go onto the staff or admin login pages.

I have had chat stability issues for a long while. It was actually most stable in 3.11.02 with some hacks from Ryan. I just upgraded to 3.20.02 and will revert my templates to the current ones. I hope this did not get worse in 3.20.02...

Hi jnet,

The disconnections could be down to a number of things - the load of your server, connection limits, intermittent connectivity between your server and your client. Have you tried from a different connection or to a different server?

It seems when that goes on for a long time it stops at least this time it it was so. I have not tried from a different connection.

It seems I must immediately after saying hello tell my visitor that they should not misunderstand if connection is lost.

but I tell you have a feeling that this is a problem with chat software . I experienced it before in two sites one was here in chat and the other was another site where I bought my SSL,
