Dropdown Menus Fail after Mac OSX Leopard Upgarde - 05-11-2007, 09:54 AM

I upgraded my iMac to Leopard. Since doing this drop dowm menus in Kayako eSupport don't work. I have to use the up and down arrow keys to select the value I want in Firefox.

It's not really a Kayako bug. Just wondered if anyone else had this issue?

Broken for us as well. Works in Safari, so this maybe a Firefox bug under Leopard. Tried with most recent Firefox 2.0.0.9 build.

Yes. I'm on 2.0.0.9 also. TBH I've found the recent Firefox releases buggy and quite frequently crashes. I think the drp down menus are JavaScript generated so they *may* be being blocked some how or something. I'll post back if I resolve it.

Issue here as well, if anybody has a solution, it would be most welcome. In the mean time, Opera browser works fine. Also arrow keys seem to work some of the time.

Hi there,

I am sorry to hear you're having problems since the upgrade. Has one of you submitted a support ticket about this?

I just got a iMac lastweek didn't come with Leopard Pre-Installed but included the disc so upgraded it... I just tried the drop down menu's in SupportSuite both in Firefox and Safari and work perfectly fine.... So I am unable to duplicate this issue...

The funny thing is that it's not just Kayako. Other sites have this issue too. I'll try and found some pattern.

I don't think it is a Kayako bug just issues with Firefox or Leopard.

I don't think it would be the first time that people have experienced issues with JavaScript following a MAC OS upgrade.

If you are experiencing this problem on a number of sites, you may wish to try this immediate fix: http://www.iammike.org/index.php?sub...cat=2&loc=main - the drop downs problem is a known issue with FireFox.
