Easy Question: How do I do an "Upgrade Revert Required"? - 27-04-2006, 03:19 PM

I upgraded and now I see in Admin CP>Templates>Diagnositcs many messages "Upgrade Revert Required". If I click on one of those templates the code is loaded and I can "save", "save and reload" or "restore". Which is the best thing to do?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

You need to do the restore option, this reverts the template to the default (updated version).

The save & reload option just allows you to make an edit and reload to edit some more if you checking changes you have made as you go.

Thanks Neil. I read on this forum to save the Files directory before the upgrade, which I did. Why is this important?

The files directory contains and files you have added to the download section, attachments if using the files method of storage, it also stored some .js files that build up your quick insert menus.

Once you have upgraded you should copy the contents of you backed up files dir back into the main one.
