Easy Ticket View - 26-06-2007, 12:14 PM

I would like to setup my eSupport system so that the user who submitted a ticket can easily view the ticket by typing in their ticket number and clicking "GO" instead of logging in. Now, I can create the form where they can type in their ticket number ... but where would I point it to?

I do not think this is possible at the moment. You can file in a feature request for the same. As of now clients will have to login to view their ticket status. Allowing clients to view tickets just by TicketID can prove to be a security issue. I am not sure if Kayako will consider this request.

Then how hard would it be to create a LoginShare plugin? I have created a custom account script for my users and if I can share the login information between the two, they I have no use for the aforementioned script ...

It is not that difficult to create a LoginShare plugin provided you are comfortable working around with PHP + MySQL.

Any ideas? I would teach myself the structure ... but all of the current LoginShare files are encoded!

Create a ticket with Kayako support requesting the unencoded files for LoginShare. They will provide it to you.
