Email Article pop-up not working

For some reason, my Email Article pop-up does not pop up a window so I can email articles. Also, The Print and PDF work fine, so my basejs.js file is being loaded properly.

I have tested it in several browsers and platforms, but it doesn't pop-up in any of them. I have pop-ups disabled.

Any suggestions? TIA.

Are you on the latest stable version (3.10.02)?

Does it report any java errors in the browsers?

Yes, I am on 3.10.02.

I get an error when using IE7, when I click the Email Article link:

Error: Expected ')'\Code: 0

Have you edited the software templates?

I have modified the styles heavily, but not any of the actual codebase, including the javascript code.

Could be a template related issue. Contact Kayako Support if they can look into the templates and confirm.

I resolved the issue last night. I used a 3rd party 'skin' developer to make my custom skin for my HelpDesk. In doing so, they inadvertently placed an extra ' around URLs:

javascript:this.className=''navitemhover''; (notice the two apostrophes?)
javascript:this.className='navitemhover'; (correct way)

I simply went through the templates and removed the extra ' and no more errors!
