email autoresponse - 29-01-2007, 01:16 PM

Hello

At present when I Submit a Ticket online (I'm pretending to be a customer until I get set up) I don't get a response to my email to say my Ticket/Question has been received. However, when I log in to Staff and reply to the Ticket, then I get an response to my email with the answer and who it's come from.
How do I (i.e the customer) get an autoresponse (such as "Thank you, Your Ticket has been received") to my email with an initial submission of a Ticket please ?

Hope I've explained that ok.

Thanks

Jonny

Hi,

If the user you created is member of a specific group, check the settings of the user group (Staff CP -> Users -> Manage groups)
The option Should Send Ticket Autoresponder should be set to Yes

Hi,
It could be a php mail() issue. Can you please confirm if you (client) receives the reply when the staff replies to the ticket from the Staff CP? If you dont, try switching to SMTP under General Settings and check if it fixes the issue.

Hi Veck

Thanks for your response. I've gone into Staff CP -> Users -> Manage groups and ticked the box for autorespond for the Guest, and that seems to have worked with a couple of new test emails.

To answer supportskins response, yes I receive a reply when the staff replies to the ticket. Cheers

Thanks

Jonny
