| email_autoresponder for templates / groups help -

Hello,
I've been reading the forums trying to set the correct autoresponder for a particular group and I still don't have it working. Basically I want a different response for each group I have.
I have the group created and I linked it to a template. I have an e-mail per group and these are linked to the groups. The ticket goes to the correct group, so far. But the reply seems to come from .... don't know where.
I thought that by modifying email_autoresponder (under Manage Groups -> Templates -> Tickets) would be enough but I still get a response from another group / template. Which by the way I modify and does not change.
Some posts suggest email_staffreply but it's not even close to the message content I get back from eSupport.
Maybe someone could help me by telling me all the places I have to change in order to have a successful group/template added into eSupport? or point me to useful posts?
I have v3.00.80.
