Enable Image Verification

I have Image Verification enabled for user registration, but there is no image visible to verify when registering.

I have cleared the cache. Any ideas?

have you compiled your php with gd library ?

I manage my server but I'm fairly new to the process.

I ended up getting this installed, but it still does not display the image verification upon registration.

Here is my phpinfo.php output:

Hi bjm2q,

What version of PHP are you running?

If your still running 3.00.04 you should consider upgrading as I know some changes were made to the image verification early on in the releases.

I have the same issue in 3.00.28 "Enable Image Verification" does not work.

If its any consolation, I never got this to work either in any release of SupportSuite. I have not tested their latest build, but it sounds like it doesn't work there either.

Maybe its a doc issue... but I have yet to see any explanation on this.

Hi,

I was having the same problem. I had GD installed.

But after I recompiled with ( Freetype Support ). It now works and no more problem.

Maybe give that a try.

I can confirm Catherine's observation:

Image verification was not working for us even though PHP was built with
GD support. After rebuilding PHP including Freetype 2.1.10 support, image verification is now working.

Our configuration:

- SupportSuite v3.00.28 stable
- Sun SunFire 280R machine w/Solaris SPARC 5.9
- PHP 4.4.1
- Zend Engine v1.3.0, with Zend Extension Manager v1.0.8, with Zend
Optimizer v2.5.10

Image verification working for us straight out the box **AFTER** turning on th gd library in php.ini

- SupportSuite v3.00.29
- IIS
- PHP 4.4.1

We're having this problem, but somewhat randomly. Seems to be an IE issue only, and doesn't happen on every machine. GD is installed.

Anything on the client side that would prevent this from working? Browser setting, for example?
