Lightbulb End User Tickets View - Can I show all tickets... - 17-05-2005, 03:28 PM

Hi:

I am beta testing v3 right now, and would like to be able to get the end-user portal to be able to show all of the open tickets, etc. I need this becuase we are only using this for internal support and really need our users to have some visibility over how much load is on the support team. I don't know if maybe I should be making all the users staff and maybe doing it that way somehow, but I'm looking for ideas. Thanks for all the input in advance!

That totally defeats the purpose of the User Based system, If you want a person to see all tickets then you should add him as a Staff.

What about if you are only supporting internal corporate users and mobile users. I want them to have workload visibility?

I would recommend creating a restricted Staff Group for those people and giving them access to just the Tickets Interface.

I to wanted to show the workload my department was on to every other staff member in our company. But I found the easiest way for me to do this was to write a little script that counts the amount of open/on hold and closed jobs. This works well and all users can see the current departments heavy workload.
