error in custom field

Hi,

in custom fields when I am adding the regular expression then it is giving me error.

for checking only 4 digit no, I gave

/d{4}
[0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9]

from both I am not getting the correct and it is still giving the error and not allowing to go in the next page ..

Ultimately I have to remove the Rgex and then I am using it, since it is very imp , because I am using some 9-10 custom field and validation is very imp for all ...

please help me in that.. . . . . .
