Exclamation ERROR: Invalid Ticket specified. You either do not have permission to view this Tick - 30-09-2006, 05:31 PM

I have open tickets in our departments but they are not showing on the dashboard.

I run reports, all the tickets show. However, when I try to view the ticket it gives me this

ERROR: Invalid Ticket specified. You either do not have permission to view this Ticket or it does not exist .

Will someone please let me know what what is going on i cant address any of these tickets until i can view them

Thanks

Was this ever resolved? I am getting the same thing on one of my tickets. I don't see it anywhere except when I run a report or do a search by creator, but when I click on it I get the same error " ERROR: Invalid Ticket specified. You either do not have permission to view this Ticket"

If you got it fixed, please let me know how so I can fix mine. Thanks.

I fixed it. I already have access to all the departments but for some reason, it still wouldn't let me access the ticket. So I had to go into the database into the swtickets table and manually change the departmentid to something else. After this, it showed up correctly in the dashboard. The only thing I can think of that may have caused this is the fact that we did rename the tables a couple of weeks ago. I believe that is when the ticket disappeared.

same problem - 16-02-2007, 09:40 AM

I had the same problem.

After changing the assignment settings of my staff to the new department two times (disallow, then allow again) it worked for me without changing the values in the database..

Donīt know if this is helpful for someone, but I would try it again next time.

Exclamation 25-01-2008, 08:49 PM

I am having the same issue,

I have multiple groups and I want to search other tickets not assigned to my group. Give me the same error.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to allow other groups to view and possibly respond to other groups tickets or at least search them?

the work around I am doing is for each individual user, I add them to all the groups, but this looks like **** and is hard to navigate, and other issues come up like if it is assigned to you but they didn't assign in to your root/original group.

I just want the groups to be able to search other groups tickets and respond if need be with out having to add every user to every group.

any thoughts on this?

Thanks in advance,

Phill

Hi Phill,

Is your problem different to what the original poster is having above? It sounds like it is. What do you mean by "Not assigned to your group"?.
