ERROR: You do not have enough permissions to access this page - 10-09-2006, 03:06 AM

Hello:

What could be causing the following error when a customer creates a trouble ticket - receives email confirmation with the TicketID, subject,
link to login, email and password

when customer clicks on link - they get the following message

ERROR: You do not have enough permissions to access this page. Please log in by entering your Email Address and Password.

if they try to login, using the info from the confirmation email, they get the same error message

ERROR: You do not have enough permissions to access this page. Please log in by entering your Email Address and Password.

any ideas why I customers cannot access their account ?

thanks
Barry

I've seen that happen, but after logging in using name & password, you get straight to the ticket.
If it's not happening after entering name & password, then maybe they're using the wrong name or password ?
Or, could be that all of the URL link is not being followed, maybe some part of the ticket URL is on a second line and not being attached.

Not all pain is gain

Nope, just to be sure, I have reset the password - problem continues with all accounts problem is not isolated to just one

is their an error log someplace that might give me a clue ? -
maybe error is a file/folder permission issue ??
everything else works
users are marked as "registered"

I cant believe I didnt catch this, we when live approx 2 weeks ago after settings up knowledge and trouble shooting - chock full of info

The little customization I was done with the templates, out of desperation, I have click restored to original settings .. sorry to say, this did not fix the problem-

all help is most appreciated

Thanks
Barry

This is not an issue actually. You can modify your templates for client's autologin if needed. Otherwise just change the text of this message to something like: " Please enter your username and password to login"

I'm having the same problem. If a user not in the user list submits a ticket for the first time, they are automatically added into the databse of users but no password is supplied in the autogenerated email. It's annoying and it didn't used to be like this.
