eSupport, Firefox, Leopard (OS X 10.5)

Hi,

I'm posting in the hope that there are other users using eSupport that have recently upgraded their install of OS X.

eSupport isn't functioning correctly when using Firefox 2.0.0.8 along with OS X 10.5

For example:

In the ticket view if you check a box next to a ticket the little options drop downs appear but they are not selectable. They're not read-only either. They just are not selectable.

The speed of page loading is also quite slow (~ 2-3 minutes). Attached is a sample of the errors reported to the console.

eSupport is working as per normal when using Safari on the same Mac Book and I can only find a small reference to non-standard UI's being an issue with Firefox and Leopard.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Found a solution (that still uses Firefox)?

I'm running Firefox with Leopard and not having any problems whatsoever. I've been running the Dev seed of Leopard for about 2 months - also without any problems.

Maybe firefox needs a clean/reinstall?

Hmm. Maybe I'll need to do that. It's really odd though as it's the only web application that produces that many JS warnings and errors.

Are you now running the final release of Leopard? And which version of Firefox are you using at the moment?

Hi,

Yes. Running ' System Version: Mac OS X 10.5 (9A581)' now. I have been using Firefox 2.0.0.8 recently but 2.0.0.1 is much more stable.

Just updating my own experiences. The Leopard update 10.5.1 has me using Kayako again just fine with FireFox. The speed is back to normal and the drop down form controls are working as per normal. I'm very happy to stop using Safari for the time being.

Well I spoke to soon. FireFox is working much faster when viewing Kayako but the drop down selection boxes in the ticket view that perform "mass" actions are still not selectable. Back to Safari for me

Firefox has version 2.0.0.9 out now. Update it. The only problem I've seen SOMETIMES is the drop-downs won't work, you have to click it and use the arrows. It only happens sometime, not sure if it's only in Sarafri or Firefox.

Been using 2.0.0.9 since it was released. The dropdown behaviour you're describing happens to me ALL the time. I'm sure there'll be an update to FireFox and/or Leopard that will see it come good for me.
