Red face eSupport with GMail - 01-05-2008, 02:10 PM

Well, I use eSupport have been over 1 year, our server owner provides Open Webmail for mail host, you know that all our customers catch mail from Open Webmail can easily go to junk box, it causes a big problem is most of users can't even register an account(because the validated mail go to their junk box).
So we have a bad image with the it.

We now trying to use Gmail for the Fetching, of course we are not use support@gmail.com for the service mail, we have "support@ourdomain.com" but host on Google apps(yes that's Gmail).

After one day hard work, we cant set it up successfully, I have read all about Gmail in this forum, but didnt get solve, the problem may because I am not a coder not a engineer, I cant understand all the functions.

I just provide some of my information, wish someone help me to solve it:
  1. My cron job result shows this:
    Do I need to contact my host owner to solve it or do something on my eSupport?
    Quote:
    ERROR: Your PHP is not compiled with IMAP Support.
    *NIX Users should recompile the PHP with the --with-imap flag and Windows users can simply uncomment the extension='php_imap.dll' line in their php.ini
  2. My outlook can normally use the mail(the mail hosted in Gmail), I mean the problem must be I dont know how to set it on eSupport.
  3. I have set only one Email Queue(POP3 SSL), I am not sure if this is problem, and the settings here:

If any information I need to provide, tell me would be appreciated.

As the PHP error says, you should install/recompile IMAP for PHP.

Which OS, Control Panel are you using?

I have contact with my host owner for IMAP service, and will have answer in 10 hours.
The control panel is not a common one, this control panel is only allowed user set basic functions.

The control panel does not matter. It is if PHP is compiled with IMAP support.

I asked Control Panel because if you had WHM you could have installed IMAP using its GUI, if you had Plesk I would have given a link of an RPM.

I hope your host will resolve it for you.

Do you have SSL support enabled in PHP?

May we see your server's phpinfo?

IMAP is enabled in PHP but SSL support for IMAP is not enabled.

I think it is required for imap to work over SSL.

Currently I can see

=====================
imap

IMAP c-Client Version 2004
=====================

When your host will enabled SSL for IMAP then we will see something like below in phpinfo.

=====================

imap
IMAP c-Client Version 2004
SSL Support enabled
=====================
